Brad Stratton Memorial Concert,
Jo’s Bar Reunion,
Prague
In 2023, dozens of current and former expats, and many more dozens of Czech people, gathered in Prague for two events, heartbreaking and heartwarming.
Brad Stratton was one of us twentysomethings in the 1990s, working hard, playing hard and becoming a rock star, influencing many local musicians. A year after his untimely death from heart attack in 2022, many of these musicians performed all of Brad’s songs at Malostranska Beseda.
I created this poster and related social posts for the event.

Also back in 1992 (but still going strong) was the establishment of Jo’s Bar, the expat and local meeting place started by Glen Emery for his sister JoAnne. She herself hosted a 30-year reunion party at the bar, the night after Brad’s memorial concert.
Since I designed the original branding back then, Jo contacted me to do the materials for the reunion.
“Mrs Atkins Dines In Style,” gets memorialized on the wall of the bar, 30 years later.

“Little Glen” Spicker bought the bar from Glen Emery, and keeps the spirit of the place intact.
(Below) Old photographs, gathered from many, of any quality from that era, were colorized to look vintage and now hang permanently in Jo’s.
